Excursion to the 3 islands: Murano - Burano - Torcello
On our first stop, Murano, discover why the island is renowned for its glassworks with a visit to a local glass factory. Watch a skilled craftsman during a glass-making demonstration. Afterwards, you have about an hour on the island to shop in one of the many glass shops.
Head to Burano, known for its lace and brightly coloured houses. Follow your guide into the heart of the town and you will have 2 hours free time to buy a good lunch, typical Venetian aperitifs, or have an ice cream in one of the many bars.
Venture from Burano to Torcello, the first centre of civilisation in the estuary. Spend an hour of free time where you can visit the Veneto-Byzantine mosaics at the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta. Return to San Marco in the early evening.
Visit to the local glass factory in Murano.
You will have about an hour on the island to go shopping in one of the many glass shops!
